Today in class we talked about the earliest civilization and what they had to do to become civilized. We watched a video, it was like the guy had been quoteing Jared diomand. THey had all the same theorys. It was kind of crazy. He was funny he tryed to make learning fun. I think it worked because i retained a lot of the educational stuff he said. He also said scoodalypoop haha.

I wasnt there friday but i got the gist of what went down. You guys talked about jared diomand and how he was right about the fertile cresent. He stated that the evolution of different parts of the world was due to luck. Geographical luck that is. The placement of the fertile cresent was the best place to evolve. It had the one thing needed for people to move on. It had a constant flow of food. The people that lived in the fertile cresent started to change out of there hunter and gathering ways because there was a constant flow of food. So now they could focus less on feeding themselves and more on other taskes like building. This was the start of a workforce that set a pace for the rest of the world. So now they would start to develope jobs and focus on expansion. Another big part of of this evolution was doemesticating animals. Not like pets but for workforce of as a supple of some sort of item. THe fertile cresent was home to most of these animals. Animals that were good for this had to be herbavores because you dont have to feed them. Also the had to be able to support themselves so you would not take time out of your work to support this animal. It had to have a valuable resource to offer to the colonie and it should be a relitive size of 100 to 500 pounds. If it is to big it gets in the way if it is to small it wouldnt be enough to offer. These things started to progress and then the could be moved side to side because the climate stayed the same and the colonies started to expand across the world . So Jared Diomand was correct about geographical luck.
